Award Description

The Awards Committee of the Cultural Studies Association (CSA) invites nominations for the first annual CSA Outstanding Service & Leadership Award which recognizes an individual whose efforts over the past two years have reinforced the CSA’s goals and values and have embodied exceptional service, leadership and/or dedication to the CSA.

The award, which consists of one year’s complimentary membership and registration and a certificate, is given every year and announced at the yearly meeting. Conference attendance is mandatory to accept the prize.

Nomination Process

We invite nominations or self-nominations of current CSA members in good standing. Previous award winners may not resubmit within five years of having won. Initial nominations should be in the form of a brief statement describing why the individual merits the award and confirmation of membership in the CSA. A selection of nominees will then be asked to provide a longer narrative and a cv in support of their nominations.
Please send materials to:
Michelle Fehsenfeld, CSA Administrative Manager: admin@culturalstudiesassociation.org
Initial nomination deadline = May 1, 2027
Round two deadline = May 10, 2027
